Body Piercing Policies

Proper Identification

  • All 18 and over clients interested in getting pierced must have valid government issued Id. In the form of Passport, State ID, or Drivers License.

Under Age Identification

  • Only the Mother, Father, or Legal Guardian may sign for an underage piercing client. The Guardian also must have a valid drivers license or state issued ID. We do not need any documentation for the child.

*All piercings offered are on a case-by-case basis. A child’s willingness to get the piercing, as well as their understanding of how to properly care for their new piercing, are considerations we must assess before piercing any minor.

Age Restrictions

  • All Clients wanting tattoos 18 and older must have valid government issued ID.

  • We will tattoo minors 16 years old and up.

Under 18 Years Old

  • Parent must have valid government issued ID.

  • Child must have birth certificate for age verification and parent name must be on the birth certificate.

  • Acceptable Tattoo Locations

    1. Arms - Just below the elbow up to the shoulder - No hands or lower forearm

    2. Back - The child should not have to remove their clothing to receive the tattoo.

    3. Legs - Below the knee

Other Information

  • Tattoo Artists set there own hourly rate and may require a deposit to make an appointment.

  • A minimum of 48 hour notice is required to reschedule if needed. If you do not show up to your appointment your deposit will be forfeited to the tattoo artist.

Returns and Warranty Policies

Returns

  • We do not accept any returns. Once jewelry leaves the studio we can not refund or exchange it. This is for the safety of our clients and staff. We will assume any jewelry being brought into the studio has been used.

Warranties

  • Most of the body jewelry we sell at Artifex carries a lifetime warranty. If you have questions about if your jewelry has a warranty please feel free to contact us.

  • Warranty will cover manufacture defects and stones falling out of setting. If you lose your top or your bead that is on you.
